Ryan sponsors local teams and clubs...

Ryan believes strongly that sport is very important in the lives of young people.  Sports provide an environment where youths can exercise regularly, learn about goal setting, work  hard as a team and it gives them an outlet for their energy and their need to socialize.  As Ryan's business grows, so will his contributions to various clubs and teams in the Comox Valley. This past year, Ryan committed to three clubs for the season:

The Comox Valley United Soccer Association

For the past three years, Ryan has coached the Chili Peppers - a girls rep team.  This year he sponsored the club and has affiliated his name with this team.  They are an inspiring group of girls that truly define "team" and "friendship" and have proven that success is not just about winning but much more about growing as a team and working hard.

The Mount Washington Ski Club

Prior to being a realtor, Ryan coached at the Mount Washington Ski Club.  The program is one of the best in the BC ski racing community and every year allows young skiers to pursue their ski racing dreams.  This club has a great atmosphere with a group of family-like volunteers and a dedicated group of ski racers. He also has a bursary "Success by Hard Work" with for athletes in this club [application for bursary].

The Comox Valley Baseball Association

This past spring, Ryan sponsored a PeeWee baseball team in the RE/MAX PeeWee House league.  As a youngster, Ryan played baseball and it seemed natural to sponsor a youth baseball team.  Although he had little say in their performance, he was quite pleased the team's representation of his business name and was impressed with their victory in the championship game.

Ryan donates to...

Every year, Ryan contributes part of his earnings to various charities.  The largest benefactors to this date are:

MS Society of BC

Every year Ryan makes a donation to the MS Society of Canada for every transaction that he did  the year before.  It is an important charity to Ryan as people close to him are affected by this disease.  For the year 2006 Ryan will make donations based on a minimum of 30 transactions.

                                                                                 Children's Miracle Network

The RE/MAX - Children's Miracle Network affiliation began in 1986 when RE/MAX affiliates in Calgary, Alberta and the Quebec Region started raising funds for this worthy cause. In 1992, RE/MAX International adopted the Children's Miracle Network as its official corporate charity. Raising funds for hospitalized children, to date RE/MAX professionals have collectively contributed over $56 million to the cause.

In Canada, RE/MAX continues to be a strong corporate contributor to the Children's Miracle Network - $2.5 million in 2004. With funds contributed by national sponsors like RE/MAX, the affiliated hospitals are able to provide needed medical care and equipment for more than two million Canadian children every year.

RE/MAX of Western Canada affiliates raise funds through community involvement such as the annual Children's Miracle Network telethon, pancake breakfasts, golf tournaments, ride-a-thons, walk-a-thons and a myriad of other events. But the cornerstone of our involvement is the Miracle Home Program whereby a portion of the sales associate's personal funds from every commission received are donated to Children's Miracle Network. 100% of their contribution helps sick children from their community.

RE/MAX chose the Children's Miracle Network as its international charity because ...

The Mission Statement of the Children's Miracle Network, an international non-profit organization, is to "Generate funds and awareness programs for the benefit of children served by its associated hospitals". An outstanding cause!

RE/MAX lists and sells homes with the very families whose children have been served, or may one day be served, by a Children's Miracle Network hospital. One out of ten children will be treated at a Children's Miracle Network hospital by the age of 18.

RE/MAX stands for quality service and for caring about the communities where its Associates live and work. RE/MAX makes the world a better place to live through Premiere Community Citizenship.
